"What's for dinner?" every single day gets old
Deciding what to eat at the last minute eats up time and leads to more takeout and extra grocery runs. Planning the week fixes that, but keeping a paper plan while also remembering one person's allergy, another's restriction and what everyone refuses to eat is a lot of work.
Ideally the meal plan already knows your family, and the week's ingredients land on the grocery list without copying anything.

Frequently asked questions
How do I make a weekly meal plan?
Start with the meals that matter most day to day, usually dinner. Repeat recipes your family already likes, plan leftovers on purpose, and only then list the ingredients. In Alf, the ingredients of planned recipes flow into the grocery list.
Do I have to add recipes to use the planner?
No. You can fill it in with free text. Recipes are there to work out ingredients and servings.
Does Alf handle allergies and restrictions?
Yes. Each person can have restrictions and foods they dislike, and the plan shows alerts when a meal conflicts with them.
Can I adjust servings?
Yes. Increase or decrease the servings of each recipe in the plan.
How much does it cost?
Creating an account is free and doesn't require a card.
